Katie Holmes kept things super-casual during a recent outing in New York.

The Dawson’s Creek beauty was seen rocking a side braid and a tan Fedora Thursday morning as she made her way about town. To complete the casual look, Mrs. Tom Cruise also wore a jean jacket and gold-and-gray oxford shoes.

Given how rainy it’s been this week in New York, we hope she didn’t forget to bring an umbrella.
